Chris McKone, Manager
Chris has grown up in the paint business, and been in a paint store in some capacity since he was a kid. He began by working in the family store after high school with his Step-father, Bill, who owned Modern Paint. He joined Maine Paint in 2004, and has worked his way up to his current position as manager. Chris is mechanically inclined and likes to help people find the solutions to their painting needs. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, one of which recently graduated in 2018. His free time is filled with attending the games of his athletically talented kids.
Justin White, Assistant Manager
Born and raised in Rumford, Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management from the University of Maine at Orono. His painting experience came as a partner in a painting/property maintenance company based in the Portland area. A tragic fall from a roof ended his painting career. He has worked at Maine Paint since 2017.
Bill McKone, Sales Associate
Bill has been in the paint industry since 1970. He began his career working 13 years for Sherwin Williams until he opened his own store, Modern Paint. With the help of his family, he ran Modern Paint for over 2o years. After closing his store, Bill worked at the Paint Pot for almost 10 years before joining us at Maine Paint in 2014. He is the most knowledgeable employee, and does the BEST paint/stain matching in the business. Just get here early, he works 6 am- 10 am.
Becky Gallant, Color Consultant
Becky returned to work with Maine Paint in 2014. She previously worked here 1988-1996. During her time away from Maine Paint, she sold wallcovering and designed kitchens and closets. She also was a realtor for Po-Go Realty. She is the proud mom of one son, Joey. She enjoys gardening and running RCR’s (obstacle courses). She can assist with any color help you may need in the store, or with an on-site color consultation.
Janet Leonard, Color Consultant
Janet holds an Associates degree in Interior Design, and has a long history of working in the design field, which includes selling flooring, and designing Kitchens and baths. She started at Maine Paint in 1996 and has been working here ever since. She has personal experience in using all of the Ben Moore products on an 1890’s farmhouse that she and her husband renovated (mostly themselves). She can assist with any color help you may need in the store, or with an on-site color consultation. She is also a certified Hunter Douglas window treatment consultant.
